Easter 2006, Halleluiah! Our Saviour Lives! HAPPY EASTER!
Hello dear friends and family,
Christmas 2005 came and went, New Year passed by and here we are in April 2006 and it’s Easter. Some of you will no doubt wonder what has become of us since you have heard not a word!
At Christmas we were overwhelmed by Meryl's mother’s illness. She is now doing better and has relocated from Minehead, at the seaside, to a full care nursing home near Birmingham to be once again closer to family.
Charles continues to do well in Amsterdam. He and Sarah had some good skiing in Switzerland and the sailing season starts again soon. After last year's Fastnet race, what next?
Toby and JoAnn and their cats, Gibraltar and Megellan, along with new addition, a dog they named Oliver Cromwell, have all moved to a new home in Queensbury NY. JoAnn has changed her job to work closer to home she now works for an insurance company. Sadly after the joyous news that they were expecting their first child this year JoAnn had a miscarriage. We are very, very sad for them but are thankful they are looking to the future, even as they deal with the reality of the now. Meryl and Noel continue to be ever hopeful that they will be grandparents one day.
Alpha for the Military, especially here in the USA but also world wide, continues to be more than full time work. This is great but we still struggle with competing, often immediate and near term, priorities, as well as with finding enough time to relax. Our month to month finances have, if anything, got worse in the last two months as necessary costs have increased faster than income. So please pray for more supporters for the work of Alpha in the Military and the spreading of the good news Easter brings.
