This Year So Far!

Mon 21 Nov 05

For Meryl and me this year seems to have been the busiest we can ever remember.

Speaking for myself, and not forgetting for one moment any of the multitudes of blessings of the year, I am inundated with emails to the extent that I cannot keep up with answering them. My life seems to demand that every day I deal with the jobs that are immediate - which are so often not the priority tasks that need to be done.

Of course, priority tasks do get done, but often at the last moment, almost in crisis management style. Then they do not always have the best and most prayerful attention they need paid to them.

Somehow, because of the strength and power of God as well as His grace, not too many things fall by the wayside.

For Meryl, even though she has a great peace in her heart about her mother's health and situation, it is, nonetheless, a worrying and stressful time, especially when she has to fly urgently back to the UK as she did between Thu 3 and Sat 19 Nov 05.

On 3 Nov, Beryl had nearly died twice in a space of 4 days and we prayed that Meryl would make it back in time. Thankfully, in answer to many, many prayers, she did and Beryl recovered and was able to go home on Thu 17 Nov, much to all our delight and relief.

Meanwhile, we are enjoying immensely being together as a family with Charles and Toby & JoAnn for Thanksgiving week at Toby's home at Malta, NY, about 20 miles north of Albany. We thank God mightily that He has allowed this to happen when, earlier in the month, it seemed like we might have to change our plans. Praise Him! Hallelujah!

We await the next chapter of our lives to see what the Lord will allow for us in the future. Whatever happens, we know He will give us the strength to follow through and that He is always good - all the time!

With Jesus love and blessings,

Noel and Meryl
